The Contemporary Music Centre (CMC) is Ireland's national archive and resource centre for new music, supporting the work of composers throughout the Republic and Northern Ireland.

 

 

DIT Digitized Irish Music Collection

The library of the DIT Conservatory of Music and Drama in Dublin is digitizing its Irish music collection, most of it sheet music from the decades around 1900. Quite a number of pieces are already online.

 

 

Irish Newspaper Archive

The Irish Newspaper Archive is an online database of Irish newspapers from the 1700s to the present - and an excellent source for historical musicologists.

 

 

Journal of the Society for Musicology in Ireland

The JSMI is a peer-reviewed, free online periodical established in 2005, and published by the Society for Musicology in Ireland (SMI).

 

 

National Archive of Irish Composers

The National Archive of Irish Composers (NAIC) exhibits high quality digital copies of sheet music from the collections at the National Library of Ireland dating from the late eighteenth to the mid-nineteenth century.

The SMI Music Theses Register is a fully searchable register of Irish postgraduate theses and dissertations in musicology at PhD, MLitt and MA levels.
